Awaken

March 10, 2015

Thank you for checking out our weekly blog that appears on MCC's website and Facebook page. Because you share it with your friends, we have as many as 1300 views some weeks. You can now subscribe to receive this blog each Tuesday afternoon by clicking on this link

The Psalmist wrote, "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.  Lift up your heads O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.  Who is this king of glory?  The Lord strong and mighty.  He is the King of glory" (Psalm 24 paraphrase).

I have really enjoyed the first three weeks of our series "Discover Faith."  I hope you've been encouraged by some of the thoughts shared in this blog, and if you worship with us on the weekends, that God's Word has awakened something inside of you that you haven't thought about or recognized in a while or perhaps even for the first time.    Perhaps you've been awaked to the reality of His existence - that He is the creator and sustainer of all things.  Maybe it is more personal - that He loves you and longs for you to trust Him with not only eternity, but your relationships, work, family, today.

This weekend Brandon will be sharing with us the next chapter of Elijah's journey, awakening us to the reality that God provides all that we need to be obedient to Him.

My prayer for you between now and Easter weekend is that you and those closest to you will be awakened to God's great love, grace, and desire for your surrender to his plan.   May you open the gates and grant Him access to every aspect of your life and discover The Lord strong and mighty, the King of Glory.

I look forward to seeing you this Wednesday at Family Dugout, Saturday at 5:30 and Sunday at 10:30.

Dave
