| What To Expect
We all have expectations and the best way to be sure those expectations are met is to be up front about them. We want to know your expectations, so share them with us through an e-mail at mcc@memphischristianchurch.org.
If you aren’t ready to share your expectations, let us give you a snapshot of what you will find when you visit a worship event at MCC.

Greetings
Generally people begin arriving 15 minutes before the event. There will be one or two people at the door to greet you and give you a program that briefly explains the teaching and event format. Feel free to mingle in the lobby, have a donut or coffee downstairs, or make your way directly into the worship center which seats around 300 people. |
Kids Programs
If you have kids, feel free to drop them off downstairs at the sign-in area where you will be given a number that will come up on the “big screen” if they need you. But don’t worry, they will be taken well care of. Kids K-5 are welcome to stay for the first few minutes of the event and then they will be dismissed to go downstairs for their own version of worship. |

Let's Get Started!
Don’t worry, the average crowd is around 180, so you won’t be crowded. But be aware, you will be greeted by folks just like you who are checking things out and hoping to feel right at home.
On the half hour, the worship event begins with a great band consisting of guitars, bass, keyboard, drums, violin and vocalists. The music style is current and contemporary. Visual images and words are projected on a large screen to allow participation by the crowd. There is frequent applause and a time to greet and welcome each other. |
Weekly Teaching
After 10 minutes or so of singing, led by our own Tim Kaiser, there is a time of teaching that builds on what has been sung about and introduced through scripture reading, prayer or multi-media. The teaching is straight from God’s word, the Bible, and is structured to provide life application today. |

Time of Decision, Communion, and Offering
The time of teaching is approximately 25 minutes followed by a time of decision. This is simply an open invitation to personally consider how to apply the teaching. This is followed by a time of communion and reflection that is open to all believers. A cracker and juice are provided as symbols of Christ’s blood and body to help believers reflect on Christ’s gift of grace and salvation. A time of “offering” or collection, is taken to allow believers to give financially to support the church and the many outreach missions of the church. |
Closing Out with Songs of Worship
The event closes out with singing and worship. The overall length of the event is 70 minutes. |
