There are plenty of opportunities to serve at MCC. 

Children's Ministry - Club House Kids

Classroom Opportunities

Caterpillar Class Room - A gentle and loving nursery caregiver who enjoys rocking, reading and playing with children ages birth to good walkers. Age requirement of 18 yrs or older.

Beetle Bugs Class Room - A caring and gentle person who enjoys interacting with toddlers in a class room/play setting. The Palma Smiley lesson plan is used for this age which includes songs, rhythms and props to keep the children’s attention.

Dragonflies Class Room - An energetic person who enjoys interacting with three to five year olds. This class is eager to learn and loves “hands on” activities. Class time includes Bible Story, music with Christian DVDs, activities, craft and snack time. All is provided for you!

Club House - This group includes Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Club House is a fun place for children to come to worship and to do all the things adult worship offers but we do it “kid style”! Music, lesson and craft ideas are all provided for you!

Other Children's Ministry Opportunities

Wednesday at the Well - This is a special time that families come out the third Wednesday of the month excluding summer months) and enjoy a time of fellowship with a light meal in the fellowship hall. Afterwards  children have their special classes while the parents have their own worship time. This year the children are enjoying a visit from a different Bible character each month in costume  telling their story. Games and crafts are included each evening. Volunteers are needed in each class room.

Sign-In Table - This is a registration table where parents come to check in their children for Club House Kids. This area needs friendly volunteers who will greet families, help them with their children's ID tag and direct them to the proper classroom.

Decorating - The Children’s Ministry is always using decorations to keep class rooms and other areas lively. If this is your area of expertise or if you just enjoy being crafty this volunteer opportunity is for you.  Come up with your own ideas or we have decorating books to assist you.

Craft Prep - The Children’s Ministry uses many different kinds of crafts to help the children to learn or to reinforce their lesson. Gathering supplies from the supply closet and pre-cutting is a big help to the Children’s Director and the teachers. This type of volunteering can be done at church or home.

Snack Prep - Enjoy preparing snacks for children? This can be as simple as making sure there is fresh water and snacks in the classrooms.

Card Ministry - This area involves sending cards to children on their birthday, when they have missed class or when they are sick. Cards and stamps are provided and this can be done at church or at your home.

Audio Visual Ministry

Are you handy with computers, are a musician or have used live sound equipment?  If so, let's talk. The A/V Ministry is responsible for the production and presentation of each worship service's sound and visual elements.  We use professional sound equipment for our Worship music, and a program called EasyWorship to present many of the visuals that the congregation sees on the screen during each service.  We also record each service onto DVD in support of MCC's DVD Ministry, maintain this website, and do our best to maintain computer systems at the Church.   We are always looking for willing hearts who are interested in learning, having fun and serving the Lord.   If you have ever thought of getting involved with the Audio Visual Ministry, please don't hesitate to contact Kyle Sheppard at mcc@memphischristianchurch.org
