Children's Ministry If it is your child's first time at MCC's Club House Kids, here's how it works:
We are committed to provide a clean, safe, and loving learning environment. Parents are welcome to observe, assist or participate in their child's learning and care. We provide age appropriate activities, story, song and prayer time for all ages. The ever popular snack time may include fish crackers, graham crackers, cheerios or pretzels. Please be sure to inform the sign in table and the teacher if your child has any allergies. Water is provided, but if you choose to bring a sippy cup, please be sure it is labeled with your child‘s name. Classes: Caterpillars - birth to good walkers. Children spend this time with loving caretakers who enjoy rocking, reading, playing, and praying for your child. Beetle Bugs - good walkers to age 3. Palma Smiley curriculum is used in this classroom setting. It consists of songs or rhymes that tell the children of creation, family and God's love. Christian music DVDs are used as well as Christian videos such as Veggie Tales. Dragonflies - age 3 to Kindergarten. Class time includes Bible Story, music, activities that correspond with the lesson, craft, snack and play time. Christian videos are also incorporated.
It is hard to believe that school will soon be starting. Do you know what that means for us at church? Awana will be starting soon too!
Awana reminds me of VBS that lasts for a year! The name AWANA is taken from II Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed" ..... Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
What is Awana? •Awana is getting to know God and His Salvation •A fun approach to learning God’s Word •Clear and Consistent Gospel Presentation •50 years of reaching Children with the gospel of Jesus Christ •The best evangelism tools to reach unsaved children and families •Teaching that builds an enduring biblical faith
How can you help? There are many areas where you can help. We are in need of: Secretary: involves keeping attendance and collecting weekly dues Group Leader: involves leading and teaching a small group Snack time: involves preparing, serving and clean up of weekly snack Help with book time: involves working with children individually, helping them during book time to memorize their scripture. Fill in when needed
Awana kicked off on September 7th and will run through April. It will start at 6:30 pm and will end at 7:45 pm. It is open for ages 3 years – 8th grade.
